Who is hitting the slopes over the holidays??

I know that it is traditionally crowded, but I may just head up for a day or two. I told my 5 year old that I would take him up to Alta to play on the rope tows.

I think I will just go snowshoeing!

Two wheels are better than four, keep the rubber side down.

Accadacca we should get our two kids together so they can have fun on the rope tow and we can hit the rest of the mountain!

Yeah really. My boy is still learning, but that type of arrangement sounds good if I can get him skiing on his own.

I went to Solitude today... ohhhhhhh sooooo goooood. Not a ton of people and fresh tracks off Powder Horn, then fresh tracks off Summit... then around eleven fresh tracks in Honeycomb.

My still camera drown in Imlay Canyon a couple years ago, still haven't bought a new one. I don't remember the last time I took a still camera snowboarding anyway, probably back in the 90's. Sorry.

    Eric.

Me me me! I'm skiing, and snowshoeing and skating and.... I have two weeks off. Will be skiing Christmas day for sure (tradition) - the slopes are pretty empty. Going this Sunday (again, not very crowded), and probably a few more times still.

Let it snow, Let it snow, Let it snow!!
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I - I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference. ~ Frost

    not busy?
The bulk of the population gets the majority of their ski days in over the next two weeks. The resorts are always packed... at least from my experience.

I ride every sunday and powder day.... and a few more in between. My ankle is up to 80% so I ready to ride this year!

That may be true, but I think the majority are skiing on the other days, not on Christmas day and not on Sundays. I've never found it to be crowded on Christmas day and it's never crowded on Sundays. Just my experience.

Not hardly a soul at Solitude today. Go figure - a quintessentially perfect ski day. Love that place.

The Saturday before Christmas is the busiest shopping day of the year, probably a good Saturday to go.

The whole week has been awfully quiet, and today at Snowbird was no exception. They were sending singles up Gadzoom at 9:45 a.m. I arrived at 9:15 and got first row parking just west of Creekside.
