Peak Baggin' in Zion with Courtney - Destination Peak

So we have passed on line many times....

    Bo... Courtney and myself....

We finally met and he brought his girlfriend! ... and he took us on quite the adventure..... toward Bridge Mountain... but to a peak summit instead. There was lots of snow, bighorn sheep, climbing, sliding and fun and most of all --- a peak bagged. This is what Courtney does... Peak Bagging.

Fun day in Zion and another new place explored.

Looks like you had a great adventure. We were up on the East side and it was so nice! Looks like you've got your work ahead, Tanya. Pictures are great, love the Bighorns.

Thanks Win! We need to get together for a trip soon! Anyone else too that has ideas for a trip in Zion, Bryce, North Rim, Paria Canyon ... this time of year we should get together. No winter swimming though!

I have never been called a trail bunny before. Thanks :)

It was so COLD... but we had on layers of hitech clothes so ... at least I only felt it on my face, ears and toes. The rest of me was toasty warm and I even lost a lot of those clothes on the return hike.

Oh wow! I dinna know there were Bighorns in Zion! That is so awesome... I've only seen lots of deer, turkeys, owl, and a tarantula. This will be my next goal.

Thanks for sharing, this is quite the revelation for me. Woohoo! Gotta go tell the wifey, BYE..

If you go to the east side around Keyhole Canyon, you'll generally see some sheep. Also around the east end of the tunnel is another congregating place!

That's because most of you St. George types never venture past Zion Canyon.

Hey! I resemble that remark! But, I think that to be a true statement sometimes. A young fellow that works here at OO and grew up in SG almost made it up to Zion for his 3rd time ever last week at my coaxing (he's 22 YO), but just couldn't quite make it! Oh well....priorities must take presidence I guess!

There is stuff past Zion Canyon????

Hehe too funny. BTW A couple months ago I did take your advice and went up to Cedar Breaks on some links you posted. Forgot to tell you "thank you".

Also thanks Bo, I'm all excited now to find a new animal in Zion, woohoo! Tonya is right. Us St. George "types" go through the tunnel for kicks, and then just turn around and head into the main part of the canyon, shucks.

That is how Bo use to be until I got hold of him. and... our travel council had a booth set up in St. George at the parade of homes about the east side of the park and you would not believe how many said... "where is that?"

Did you do Ashdown Gorge!!! I love that one? Or Cedar Breaks Bottoms?

Oh, but contraire! I passed Mt. Carmel Junction several times on my way to trips in Escalante! I just didn't know that the really great stuff was abounding in your neck of the woods! Now I know, and yes....I'm glad that we did meet and my scope of exploration has definately broadened since we have been hiking together!
