RONALD Belford Scott is adamant he is the lovechild of AC/DC lead singer Bon Scott, who died in 1980.

Mr Scott is willing to have a DNA test to prove his claim and said he only wanted the results for peace of mind.

He had tried contacting the Scott family through the band's manager, former friends of the AC/DC lead singer and the band's record company with no luck.

"I don't think I'm Bon Scott's son, I know I am," Mr Scott, of WA, said.

His mother, Gloria Torrance, suffers from Alzheimer's disease, but Mr Scott said others had supported his claim.
