    sounds like *someone* planted them..they werent there before. SO did you find this out at the bottom of the hill to the creek or on the climb?

    Yes, probably picked up the thorns from the lower area. Ive found similar thorns in and around town but never on trail, course Ive never ridden up to Amassa Back from lower Kane Creek Blvd. road...usually too much traffic when I go That said, Amassa Back is one of my most favorite trails. A good climb up the shelfs, an awesome view, some slickrock, and a killer downhill bomb back!
