    Canyoneering near Cedar City?

I am looking for some fun quick canyons to hit in the Cedar city area this weekend. We want to do some raps and swims. Open to all suggestions. Thanks

    Kanarra Creek

    and....um....

    nothing else comes to mind.

Yankee Doodle is pretty close and is really sweet, but no swimming required and its short.

The ACA uses Benson Creek outside Parowan sometimes. I've never done it so not sure if it's any good.

On the USGS maps you will see the falls in the Benson Creek drainage. That's your target. Longest rap is reported to be 100'.

Don't forget to post a TR if you do Benson Creek.

Do you have any pics of Benson Creek? So the canyon only flows part of the year? When is nornally the prime season for Benson?

Ashdown Creek is awesome! It's not technical, but it is a fun canyon ... sort of like hiking the narrows.

Thanks everyone! Hopefully we can get permits for Pinecreek and Keyhole for Saturday. If not, we have a bunch of backups now. Again, Thanks.
