    SLC EVENT: Utah Wilderness Day

    'Utah Wilderness Day'

    The Southern Utah Wilderness Alliance is celebrating its 25th anniversary with "Utah Wilderness Day" activities on Tuesday (Aug 7), 5:30 p.m., at the Gallivan Plaza.

    Local cyclists will be welcomed after completing the 1,000-mile "Hybrid-pedal" journey through Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Utah.

    The event will conclude with a concert by Greg Brown and Kate MacLeod, $5 donation at the gate (www.suwa.org or 801-428-3996).

    Greg Brown is pretty cool - well worth $5. I'll be there. (I have a standing rule to see any concert that costs less than $7 regardless of who is playing).
