Imlay Canyon Gear.

I've used a bunch of different rope bags for especially wall/rock climbing and a bit for canyoneering. Metolius, BD, Pika, MEC, BW, Serratus, etc. Really think the Imlay silo design is the best of the bunch.

Easy to hang from the harness. Easy to carry. Easy to deploy rope from. Drains like a champ. Floats. Easy to load. Rope stays put. Durable.

Does 'er all.

These are sweet, i've used them but don't own one

If you don't like spending money (like me!) you can use an old dry bag and put a few gromits in the bottom, works pretty good in the drier canyons

A couple of years ago I did a canyon with two friends that seemed to have a great team work system..... at least in my humble opinion.... they carried two packs, one was for the usual gear and one was used as the rope bag. This seemed to work great for day canyons as the two swapped the packs back and forth throughout the day.

I always figure if you had a good buddy (or husband and wife team) that this might be a sweet system.

See I told ya, LOL For dry canyons just about any bag will work, but for the wet canyons there is only one choice, unless you want to go fishing for your rope underwater, LOL
