AWESOME photos of GNP! You sure know your way around a lens!

A few of those look familiar from 3 years ago. I did an trasportation engineering job on the new By-Pass in Kalispell and drove up to "Going To The Sun" and back on a Saturday in September and it was SPECTACULAR! I would sure love to get back up there and see everything that it has to offer!

The desert is great spring and fall, but in the summer, Glacier is the place.

Thank you, thank you. I would love to see it in the fall, having seen it in May and three times in July. Do try to get back and spend a little time.

Yep, Glacier has a sister park on the other side of the border, called Waterton Lakes NP. Together they formed the first International Peace Park. There are pics of Waterton in the Alberta, Canada gallery.

I know what you mean. My first three trips there I never got to hike from Logan Pass. Once because the pass was snowed in, twice because the parking lot was full. They now offer free shuttle service which is popular, thereby making it easier to park. So, I hiked the Hidden Lake trail and it was fantastic. A beautiful day, lots of wildflowers and wildlife, some waterfalls, streams and ponds, and a great view of the lake. Some of the hike was through frozen slush, a little slippery. Do this hike for sure when you go again.
