Hiking Boots
I am a hunter. But I also preside over a group of youth at church and do lots of hiking and camping with them in the summer months.
3 years ago, I bought some Hi-Tec boots for hunting and after a good break-in period, they worked well. But this year, they finally gave up the ghost. I went on a 30-mile hike and got MAJOR blisters halfway through. I realize that blisters have more to do with the right kind of socks, etc, but there's GOT to be a boot or shoe out there that will keep my feet warm and allow for STEEP hiking without getting the blisters.
I need your suggestions on a pair of boots that I can use in 0 degree weather and hike up steep terrain that elk like to frequent.
So far, I am considering a pair of North Face Lifty GTX400's. YOUR suggestions are welcome.Never pistol whip someone with your gun...that could mar the finish.

Thanks. Looks nice and all, but I gotta have a boot that'll keep my feet warm as well in low, low temps.
