    Echo Sunday 06-24-07

Echo was great. We went early to avoid the sun on the hike up. My daughter Julia (young cute one), Lynn, John and myself had a great time. It was dark in the canyon and some of the pictures did not come out well....especially the keeper pothole. There was water about thigh high in the pothole. John went first and then Julie. It was really easy to toss her out the other side. *lol* Thanks to Tom's clipster, she clipped in and set up the next rappel. Julie rescued a very cold, wet lizard that was trapped in a pool. She carried him until the next rappel. We stuffed the lizard in the top of her pack and she released him down canyon in a lizard friendly sun spot. It was really fun to take my daughter on this trip. She is really getting into canyoneering. Water was really low, but wetsuit was still needed. Enjoy!
