All right! Fuzzy, good to have you come!

Does everyone want a group campout or to make their own reservations... I can't get off work until 4:00 on Friday, but I'll head down after that.

Not sure? Shlingdawg is the party planner? I usually just grab a room.

What trails are you planning on riding while down there? I am checking my schedule to see if I can make it but need to make sure it doesnt land on the same weekend as the 24 hrs of Moab or the Moab Festival.

Two wheels are better than four, keep the rubber side down.

I'm prolly going to be staying a motel. Camping is fine for Jeeping, but I like my hot tub, and a nice shower.

The trails that I want to hit are:

    Porqupine Rim
    Sovereign Singletrack
    Amasa Back

It's been years since I've done the Slickrock Trail and I wouldn't mind doing that either.

Hey all you Moab Mountain Bikers, I have a question for you...

Saturday, October 20th, I want to ride a dirt century. I want to ride down the horse thief canyon, along the white rim, and take the potash road into Moab. This ride will be self supported, and my target time is around 12 hours...

Is anyone interested??? I can carry a few extra bikes to the trail head if someone needs.

Please judge your own ability and be realistic on whether or not you'd be able to handle the ride.

    Thanks!

    Ride listings?

I want to go, just need to know a few details.

    Here I be.

Sorry. I've been dragging the dog on this. It's still on!

I plan on staying in town at a motel (Notel 6 is where I usually stay). I like the idea of the staggaring distance though.

    My plan:
Head down the 18 (Thursday), check in. Eat. Sleep.

    Friday 19:
Start the trip out right with a shuttled Porquipine Rim. Since most of that is downhill, another trail shouldn't be out of the question. Since we'll have to go back up to the trailhead up Sand Flats, we can hit Slickrock on the way back; after lunch maybe. And a nap?

    Saturday 20:
    Amasa Back and/or Sovereign Singletrack

    Sunday 21:
Short trail in the AM (Bartlett Wash)??
    Go home.

    What did I leave out?

Sounds good to me. So how much are rooms at Motel 6 right now?

Still IN! Gotta have a room with Internet.

I'll be down there running the Moab Other Half (half marathon) on Sunday. Dont have plans for Saturday... I might be interested in doing something easier like Sovereign if you do it... or just meet up for drinks.
Post a solid itinerary when you know it, would ya? thanks!
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I - I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference. ~ Frost

You know, maybe we can have another uutah canyon/trail trip again, this time right there in Zion.

Canyoneers go this way, bikers go this way, then meet up for dinner at night.

See! You guys can be in Zion on Friday night!

    Itinerary? Waz that?

We need to get some sort of plan posted. Finding a room now. . .

Tanya will be there providing some Belly Dancing entertainment after we ride.

I've always found cheap rooms at the Days Inn, free internet. In fact, you can get the internet in your car in the parking lot if you want. Ain't encrypted.

Bad news for me. I'll be heading back from St. Louis late Friday night. I wouldn't be able to make it down until late Saturday morning at the earliest.

    I love sales meetings.

Ironically, I will be calling on the Moab Hospital (Allen Memorial) that next week, Thursday & Friday and will likely be staying the weekend if anyone wants to join up. I plan on having my bike w/ me. I'm involved in the hospital golf tournament on Friday from 10 - 3, but will be ready to ride after and Saturday and Sunday.

Sorry to disrupt my own trip. Hope it doesn't affect the rest of you.
