Yankee Doodle is a fun little slot.... did you encounter any water?

A couple of years ago there was some swimming required to complete the route, then a big flood filled the swimming sections with sand and it has been dry ever since.... I've kinda been hoping a future storm would scourer out the slot and create more swimming or wading again.

WHAAAT???? Why in the hell would you bolt YD? You might as well bolt your steps on your front porch.

That blows my mind... The biggest downclimb is what, like 10 feet?

I hear this canyon is now being guided by one or more of the local canyoneering companies. I'll make a guess that is who bolted the route. Gotta keep them tourist safe.

I hate to say this but I have almost ZERO enthusiasm for Zion these days..... most of it is the result of the current permit SNAFU. But this other crap doesn't help much.

The best thing about Zion is I get to see Tanya.

The bolts in Yankee Doodle have been removed!

There is no reason for bolts in this canyon as massive natural anchors guard each drop.
