Deseret Peak conditions?

I am going to hike it with some folks who are not comfortable on snow.

Anyone know if all the snow is cleared? If you've been up there recently - got photos?

From my first hike in snow in the back of Timp, I really wished I had crampons. If your friends are afraid of it, just rent a few of those and they would give a lot more confidence to people and are not very heavy to pack.

I spent the last several days in Rush Valley, a few miles south of Deseret Peak. There is almost no snow at all visible on the peak . . . I can't imagine you would have problems. I hiked it several years ago in June and we didn't encounter snow then, either.
