    Horseshoe Canyon 06-10-07

On Sunday after the Black Hole trip, we went off to explore Horseshoe Canyon. This was the first time that we had ventured so far into the State of Utah and John has always wanted to see the pictographs. We tried to get an early start, but time does pass on that long dirt road. We got to the canyon at 9am. It was already hot. The route was well marked....but very much a sand slog! Only saw a couple of people. It was very nice to have the canyon to ourselves most of the time. We got lots of pictures. Would highly recommend the trip. Saw three deer. We were out and on the road by 1pm. Here is a couple of pictures.
