    TR: DragonFly

Took my wife and some of her family down DragonFly. Nice little route. My wife is a really slow hiker, and we still did the whole thing in 3 1/2 hours. Keepers were easy to exit in current conditions. A little bit of swimming. This is a good 'intro to canyoneering' route. My camera battery died during the 1st rappel, so not as many pics as I'd hoped for.

It definitely is. I'll likely use it to introduce people to canyoneering.

    intro routes

    Hi
Can anyone tell me the length of the longest pitch in Dragonfly Canyon? I have seen it described as 30m on the Desert Highlights web page and 40m on the Outdoor Zen. How deep are the pools as well? It would be great to have some advice from someone who's been there.
We're coming from Canada in the spring, and was hoping to get some good (reliable) beta from someone who's been there. We're fully conversant with rope skills, anchors, SRT, etc, but it will be our first vertical canyon in Utah.
If there are any other good canyon intros around, they would be very appreciated.
    Thanks in advance!
    Eli

Longest rap is 130' (40 meters). Water is over your head deep....
