and all it took was a natural gas leak. perfect timing ! we were in dicks and i saw a frieman come in in full attire, then the scrambling began. one of the managers got on his walkie talkie and began paging every other mgr. in the store. 10 seconds later they come over the intercom saying we need to evaqcuate the bldg. due to a gas leak. so, you know, we did. headed to teh parking garage to come home and the gas was thick enough in the air to not just smell but taste. it doesn't take much but it was still kinda scary. and out the parking garage - w/out having to pay ! and as we drive off the whole mall population is being evacuated from the bldg's, and where do they go ? on the sidewalk. sooooo much safer than inside if it ignites. i am sure the resulting explosion(s) would make sure to confine itself to only the inside and not break out. don't know exactly what happened, but know enough to get some distance when natural gas is leaking and emergency services are descending in droves.
