    It's snowing-again

This starts to get old by June.

Certainly parts of Utah has been snowing too. Anyone have snowfall reports?
Utah is a very special and unique place. There is no where else like it on earth. Please take care of it and keep the remaining wild areas in pristine condition. The world will be a better place if you do.

I was just looking at the Snowbird mountain cameras, and it looks like they have a few inches. Probably just enough to break out the lunch trays.

We planned a scouting trip for a new hunting spot - not now. Too much snow and I really don't want to get stuck. I bow hunt for heck's sake - I sweat when I hunt - not worry about frostbite
Never leave home without a headhunter.

I just checked the NWS Snow Survey site: 10" in the last 24 hours at Alta. Definitely time to break out the lunch trays.

Half of my garden was killed from the excessive cold last night. I'm pretty pissed about it.

OK, now go ahead and laugh at me because I like to garden....
It's only "science" if it supports the narrative.

The La Sals got a fresh coat of snow this morning. Not just a dusting -- a coating!!

I wish we could get a lil bit o' that "Global Warmin" round these parts!

    Wish granted.

    Monticello forecast:

    Moab forecast:

Anyway, June snow in the La Sals is hardly unusual. It's pretty much normal. Even Monticello has seen snow in June.

It snowed there in June 1999. It was pretty funny because my cousin went down there to work in the hospital for the summer. She packed all summer clothes because she thought it would be like Moab in the summer. The first week she was there it snowed and she froze her butt off.

OK, now go ahead and laugh at me because I like to garden....
You planted to early, my friend. Monticello's average last freeze is May 30, but it has froze as late as June 27. SE Utah it is, but Moab it ain't.

Ya, still trying to get used to this high altitude. Apparently, many of the locals make the same mistake of planting too early. Many of them told me "Ya, you're good to plant anytime past Mother's Day." Those same folks are down at the greenhouse buying new starters for the second or even third time (after their newly planted garden froze over).

Optimism runs rampant through these parts...
