TR Ben Lomond and Willard Peak
Not a real radical report just mentioning that we hiked from N. Ogden Divide to Ben Lomond and on over to Willard Peak yesterday. Most of the snow is off of the trail to Ben Lomond but there is still some on the summit cone. A year ago we hiked to Willard and found a large, steep drift blocking the trail just before heading up Willard on June 30. We were concerned it might be an issue this year especially since we were almost a month earlier but there was bare ground on the trail below the much smaller drift. Long hike but much better trail conditions than one should expoect this early in the year.

Had an invite to head up monday morning, but I couldn't get a baby sitter.
It will happen this year.
If the snow is gone, perhaps by the end of the month, early July....
The weekend before? After?
Hmmm.....Wilderness is not a luxury but a necessity of the human spirit, as vital to our lives and water and good bread
