    unitas

went up to the uintas today for a quickie. wandered from bald mountain trailhead again. like last autumn it snowed on me. but today it was VERY short lived. still plenty of snowbanks lingering but it was relatively easy going. where the trail gets lost there is always a clear path, if a circuitous one. i love it up there. rolling meadows and rocky outcrops, clear understory, lots of water. many marshy bogs filled w/ croaking and chirping critters of the tiny type. many competing frog choruses, all vying for top honors. had a blast. in another month the flowers should start being out in force to make the wandering even more enjoyable !

Nice pics. I'll be going through there toward the end of July. The wildflowers should be awesome then.

The Uintahs are beautiful! Ive spent alot of time there over the years....my favorite place to camp! Bald Mtn around Moosehorn Lake and down to Mirror Lake & to the Highline trailhead....amazing! Lately thought most of my time has been spent around the Spirit Lake/Brownie Lake area...I get my wood permits for that area & camp alot around Deep Creek area.
