    Breakfast in Zion: Bighorn Sheep

I had a few hours to kill on Saturday so off I went to the East Side of Zion. The plan was to just do an easy hike for an hour or two. I got side tracked when I saw a flock/herd (?) of Bighorns running around. I stopped and for once had the right lens with me.

The pictures were really nothing special until the young ones decide it was time for breakfast.

There were BHs everywhere! I came back thru the park later on in the day and again they were all over the place. I was with a neighbor who exhibited no interest in stopping. I'll probably be back there on Monday to hike about, maybe I'll get lucky again.

    Isn't she pretty?

Great captures, Win. I have never seen BH's in Zion (just lots of turkeys).

They use to be scarce but lately have been hanging out on the slickrock on the east side of the park.

Yeah, we saw a few last fall on the east side. A bunch of people had stopped to take pics, but there was one woman who jumped out of her RV and ran toward them with her camera. Gave them quite a scare. We did a lot of muttering over that... A little respect goes a long way in nature.

    Very nice pics, Win!
