    Behunin

Visited Behunin Saturday (5/12) with son-in-law Jared, Jean-Louis, and
Fabrice. We had a great time. There was very little water in the canyon,
which meant that usually only the first rapper had to get wet, as he
could then assist the others in avoiding the water (most of which was
    really skanky!).

With four of us, we were able to use two ropes and leapfrog the entrance
and exit series of drops. This was my first time there and I thought the
canyon was very nice and drops very dramatic and fun. I enjoyed it much
    more than Spry.

I particularly liked the last drop. I rapped first, carrying the rope
bag with me.When I got to the ledge, I tossed the bag. I thought it was
never going to hit! It just kept getting smaller and smaller and finally
bounced off the ground, followed (what seemed like seconds later) by the
    thud of its impact.

Although the weather was warm, the canyon was very pleasant with plenty
of shade to enjoy. The wind came up as we were exiting and some of us
got blown about a bit on the last rap, but we all had a lot of fun.

Thanks to all who gave me info/tips/beta.

Nice write-ups. Two great canyons. I love that final rap in Behunin. When I took a bunch of 16-18 year old venture scouts through a couple of years ago, they all got real quiet. I started to tease one of them and he told me to shut up 'cause he was praying.

I love Behunin too! It's wonderful to have a canyon in Zion that can be done early in the season when its too cold for others.
