There are alot of different styles of beers out there, yes it is an accustomed taste, but at least try the few I would bring along. You never know, you might like it. They are definitely higher in ABV, but not by much, and not all are. The body, flavor, texture, scent are very quinque. Very Very tasty brew's, if I say so myself. Cheers!

    yeah, that was probably me.

though i have to admit, that is a discussion group more seriously focused on canyons ... beer was tenuous at best ... uhh, i drink beer after the canyons one of the benefits of having a general section for the fun and random OT stuff ... and we can see where that leads

    Whoa!

I do like Beer but I'm more a hard liquor man, Bourbon, dry gin martini's, then straight to vodka and rehab.

    I love you all...

    Mmm...

Also from Unibroue (one of my favourite breweries; went on a pilgrimage - uh, tour - there a couple of years ago):

10 and 11 (anniversary brews, at the appropriate alcohol percentages)
La Fin du Monde (end of the world)
    Eau Benite
    Don de Dieu
    Blanche de Chambly

    From England:

Wychwood's beers: Hobgoblin (one of my all time favourite, good anytime ales), Fiddler's Elbow wheat, and Black Wych stout (far too difficult to find).

    Marston's Oyster Stout
    Monty Python's Holy Grail
    Riggwelter
Traquair House Ale and Jacobite Ale

From Belgium, in addition to the Westmalle, of course are Chimay (usually the Blue) and Orval (among the Trappists) and Piraat.

I'm a huge fan of Old Rasputin as well - such a tasty beer...

    Ah, so many good beers!

Anyone had any beer from the Kettle house Brewing Company in Missoula, Mt? They have a brew called "Olde Bongwater Hemp Porter" that is unbelievable.

I also love Moose Drool and any of the Nectar Ales, the Red and IPA Nectar's are out of this world.

Waiting to get my hands on some 16. The La Fin and Don De Dieu are awesome brew's. North Coast Old Rasputin, very tasty. I just had a Dark Lord a couple of weeks ago on my birthday, the hype is real. If you want to see all the beers I've had to date, go to Beeradvocate and go to my user name Wasatch.

Have not had any brew's from Kettle yet. I've had the Big Sky Moose Drool, their IPA is pretty tasty as well. I've had all the Nectar's I believe as well, tasty.

Okay. I have to go drinking with you guys. Whenever I go out with my friends we end up at the Jackalope drinking $1.50 PBR tallboys. (Yech).

I've seen it at the state liquor store, but have not picked it up yet. I have so much beer at home it's mind boggling, close to 200 bottles. Do not go by the list I posted here it is just a couple of month's worth at best, go over to BA and checkout my review's.

There is nothing wrong with PBR (for a lawnmower beer). You just need to make sure its not the Utah 3.2 brew. PBR in the bottle is not bad at all I will take it over miller coors or bud any day.

Unfortunetly you will not find alot of those brew's listed by people here in utah. One place you can find some nice brew's would be the Bayou in SLC, they have some tasty stuff there, but a little bit to pricey for some, considering what I can get them for. When I/we come over for some grilling, I will bring some brew's over to checkout. I would like to know what you like now and have tried before so I can take over something similar, or if you want I can bring over brew's/style's you've never tried before. Just let me know.

While beer in the states might be decent - you need to travel to Germany and experience the taste of their brews. I was in the AF and there for two years - seemed like every town had their own pilsner and we lived a block from a brewery - big mistake.

Anyhow - US beer is okay - but venture out to Germany.

But what do I know - been sober since 1989 - and I've had some dang good water since then. Davis county seems to be at the top of my list.
Never leave home without a headhunter.

Yes, not too bad, but most likely will not buy again. Try a Paulander Salvator, you can get it at the wine store in SLC, much much better.
