    Don't Boil Your Bladder!

This might seem obvious to most people, but you should never boil your bladder. I did just that last week and the heat mungered up the o-ring on top and disolved the seal in the mouthpiece. The o-ring still works, but I gotta' get a new mouthpiece because it's basically destroyed. By the way, you all knew I was talking about CamelBack accessories, right? :)

Dang! I put scolding hot chocolate in mine for hot summer rides.

That's awesome, just be gentle with your bladder!

When I haven't used a bladder for a few months (every spring for my summer packs, every fall for my winter packs), I'll use hot watter and a bit of bleach. Then a dozen or so more rinses... the last thing you want is bleach tasting water. :D
