Lead singer of the Killers, I knew he grew up LDS but not partially in Nephi and certainly didn't know he considers himself "active". If I'm Mitt, I roll him out for a little Mr. Brightside during the convention.

I remember I went to the "Smokin Grooves" tour in 1996 and the leader singer of Cyprus Hill told everyone not to vote for Bob Dole. I was 17 at the time so I was more easily influenced, but I remember not liking Bob Dole for a while because of that. There definitely is a real power that musicians and celebrities seem to have regardless of being based on sense or intelligence.



Britney Spears volunteered to sing at the GOP in the 2006 election but her services were declined. That was probably a good call for the Reps.
