PIX from recent trip to E. Fork Leprechaun

Got *super* lucky on a recent trip to Lep and happened to be in the "Subway" section during a mild flood. Beautiful waterfalls everywhere.

Y'know, I remembered you telling me about those tracks just before we got to the nuisance/gumfilter rap in Lep. There is a shale layer just above there that looked prime, but no, I haven't seen them yet. :-(

Yup, in the mudstone layer, about where everyone sits to eat a snack and slip on their harness. They are really worn and hard to see at first. But once you find one track the others just pop out at you.

IMHO showing the tracks to noobs really adds something special to the route.

Wow, those are really cool. I think that if any rain were on its way, I'd be too nervous about a big flood to enjoy a small one!

    Thanks!

That subway section is already gorgeous...the waterfalls make it almost mythical!!

    Nice shots!!
It's only "science" if it supports the narrative.

Those pictures are really neat. Some of them should be in a coffee table book.
