    San Rafael Swell 3/16 - 3/19

Went on a weekend trip through San Rafael Swell with some friends. We started at Ferron, went down Coal Wash, through Eva Conover, down Eagle Canyon, past Swasey's Cabin, under I-70, up Buckhorn Draw, over to the MK Tunnels, and back to Castle Dale. Total mileage was 176.8, all on dirt.

Some pics for your viewing pleasure.

And a little homemade map of the track.

Nice shots. Them's my stompin' grounds, so I recognized most of those places.

Looks like you all had no problems. Did you just cross back over and head south after you crossed the first time?

If you liked that one, you should like these also. Same guy, but in his Scout. The Scout is out of action while awaiting a new radiator (after the last roll), so he bought that 4-runner to wheel in the meantime.

Yup, Fuller Bottom. We just went to check out the crossing, and found a Boy Scout troop. Then went back to camp. I tried to cross the river last year in May, and it was at least 5 feet deep in the middle. I wasn't quite prepared to make a crossing that deep.

    Great fotars...

I see that you had quite the collection of vehicle's. I was happy to see a few yotas in the group, especially new shiny blue one.

Ummm i think it's time to take the keys away from Eric.

    that kids a menace.

looks like a good time, it's unfortunate your camera likes to take so many photos of those old scouts, especially w/ rover porn around.

Cool pics of the Old scouts.. I like seeing the old timers out there in action. A buddy of mine in high school had a fetish with those things and always had at least two up on blocks in his yard. Yep, good old Northern Michigan for ya

Cool pics of some Scouts, no doubt! Didn't see any "old" ones though? In fact, it looks like they all have roll-up windows! That would make them "new" Scouts in my book .

    - DAA (first love was a '61 Scout, VIN # 861, pictured below - not mine anymore, but still going strong!)
