Thread: Google Earth Revamped?

    Google Earth Revamped?

Anyone else notice that Google stepped up the detail of it's satellite images in many places in the state? All of Zion is high res now, the swell, the roost, all of it is full color and much higher detail than it used to be. A lot of them look better than the black and white images found all over the net (or on worldwind).

    Eric.

I noticed yesterday that Price had better resolution, but didn't realize the Swell had it too. Awesome!

Wow I hadn't noticed but I just went back and I was very impressed.

WOW.... much better. I just poked around in the roost and North Wash and it looks great. It used to be that anything north of of the Leprechaun system was just a blurry mess. Much better now. I can see the roads!

Wait, you can see inside the bank? I'm really confused.

Zion National Park (no "s" involved) sure has good resolution.

I'm so impressed. I can tell exactly where Crack Canyon, Little Wild Horse, (etc.) are located. I'm falling in love with Google Earth all over again.

That just made my day! Just last night I was trying to look at the Tomsich Butte area in 3D with TOPO and it wasn't cutting it for me. Maybe now I can find a way out of the Muddy gorge after doing Gem that wouldn't require a 63 mile/3hour car shuttle.

I looked at the pictures, but didn't even notice that they were yours until you pointed it out. That's way cool!
