Big Horn - Arches National park

A route description for Big Horn is now up.... I assume it's called Big Horn because that is what Justin keeps calling it.

    Sweet!!

Big Horn made for a pretty entertaining half-day IMO. There are so many little pouroffs in the Great Wall that just about any one you pick would make for an interesting route. Lots of potential there.

You're gonna post Tierdrop too right?
It's only "science" if it supports the narrative.

Nice write up Shane! Makes me want to go back and explore more of the China Wall, that place is very neat!

I decided to post a few pics, and make a TR out of it. I know Alex will ring in with more pics (please).

"The Tunnel" on the way to Big Horn

The first rap in Big Horn - a gradual walk-down that gets steeper and steeper, eventually ending in this overhanging lip

The final rap out of Big Horn - approx 55 feet of free air!

    Alright, twist my arm

The scramble up from The Tunnel is a tough one

You can barely see "The Tunnel" on the right bute:

The final ascend to the top of the mesa, there is a walk around though which is family friendly:

Lots of cool canyons to explore (spot the goat?):

    Quite a neat wind work:

    And the Great Exit:

FWIW: We left the horns sitting on top of the last rappel anchor, if you visit this canyon be extremely careful with them as they are old and very fragile.

But they do make for some cool pictures....

Alright you called me on it. You actually can't quite see it from my picture because of the angle I took the pic at. I drew the path to it (in red) and the double access. You can get to the tunnel from both sides, but I think west access is easier to get to it.
