Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Rainbow - Wizard of Oz
I love watching this, I've seen it about 10 times.
HERE'S THE THEORY (which I believe is true):
Pink Floyd based the COMPLETE album, Dark Side of the Moon, around the concept of an alternative audio track for the movie Wizard of Oz.
Here's how it will work for you; FORGET THE STORYLINE. Completely pretend you don't know what the movie is about. This will let you focus on the music to tell an alternative story.
Watch the facial expressions. Listen to the words, and even take note of the rhythm changes.
I firmly believe Pink Floyd recorded the whole album as they were watching a silent version of Wizard of Oz, on an old movie projector.
Even look at the album cover! Black and white, going to a rainbow.....
So anyways, here it is, in 7 parts. Once again, pretend you don't know the actual story line, and let Pink Floyd sing it to you. You will notice hundreds of things, confirming to you this is how it really happened.
Part 1
Part 2
Part 3
Part 4
Part 5
Part 6

I watched this once, and it really seemed to work a lot better during the first time through of the CD (but not as well during the repeat). The part with "Money" though was my favorite.

I thought it was Led Zepplein's soundtrack that matched up with this...
Watched a bit of it. Kinda cool.Wilderness is not a luxury but a necessity of the human spirit, as vital to our lives and water and good bread

Part 2 is really good to watch to confirm this.
The beginning of "Time" starts right with her on the bike, symbolizing a ringing bell on the handlebars. Then the "standoff" music, where Dorothy is talking with all three of them, the notes are right on.

"Black (black black black...) and blue (blue blue blue blue...)
and who knows which is which
and who is who (is who is who is who)
Despite anything the band said otherwise, that's the point when I knew it had to be planned.Remember kids, don't try this at home. Try it at someone else's home.

I thought everybody knew about this.
If you don't feel like watching the YouTube version, you can push play on the CD player on the second lion's roar at the beginning of the film on the MGM screen. The lion will roar once, then again and that's when you push play.
I love the very beginning when Auntie Emm is leaning over the chicken coop and the lyrics begin: "Breathe....Breathe in the air".Lost On A Hill
