Headed For Utah
Drove 576 miles today, stopping at an RV park/fish camp in Louisiana. it's a neat place, and the day has been beautiful. Still, I'm anxious to reach Kanab.

Thanks for your good wishes. Another 500 miles on Monday put us in Bowie, TX. The train here woke us early, so we'll be in Albuquerque in time to tour a bit. Still plan to be in Kanab on Sat.

Good to hear the trip is going well. I wish we could stop when we make that trip, the only thing we do stop for is fuel

Another 540 miles today, despite powerful winds...very tiring. Expecting worse tomorrow, so will no longer plan to visit sites near Albuquerque, just keep pushing. Will stop to visit Coal Mine Canyon (a favorite of mine) before moving on to Kanab.
Plan to stay in Kanab for at least 2 weeks, doing North & South Coyote Buttes, Wire Pass & a little of Buckskin, Willis Creek, Bull Valley Gorge, etc, etc. Also, a day in Page for Antelope Canyon, Horseshoe Bend, other nearby stuff. Most of this is repeat, but that's OK.
If weather cooperates, we'll spend time in Escalante, Capitol Reef and Moab, eventually moving on to Nevada and other states.

Just arrived and checked in at Tuba City. Will go to Coal Mine Canyon for sunset (unfortunately, no clouds at the moment).
Here's a link to last year's photos of Coal Mine Canyon.
