Camping suggestions for St. George
Hey guys - we are camping at one of our favorite places in the whole world on Gooseberry Mesa this weekend for some mountain biking.
Do you have have any suggestions for similar primitive camping closer to St. George? We'll be doing some riding down there as well closer to the city and I thought we'd try somewhere new for camping.
the more primitive the better - don't need tables/bathrooms, etc, and I do have a high clearance vehicle. Desert? up in the trees? Snow canyon?
Thanks!
Ian

I know some folks that camp out in the AZ Strip, access it out of Hurricane and follow the signs to the airport. The road will go right out to the desert at about 10 miles. I think you can camp anywhere you like. Or go to River Rd in St George and follow it out into the desert. Drive out about 10-12 mikes and just camp.
Snow Canyon does have some campsites, I would think that would be a great choice.

I would camp in Snow Canyon myself. Its nice and not too far from the city, but far enough.
