    My new Knife and question

    http://www.omsdive.com/cuttool.html

My new knife. I attach it to my left leg loop of my harness. I'll let you know how it works or if it drops out in some slot somewhere. It has a locking sheath, meaning that the knife clips or snaps into the sheath. It can easily be unclipped with one hand. I put a little bungee loop on the handle to slip my hand into so that I won't drop it mid rappel while trying to cut my arm off or some such thing. It has a good blade on it but came a little dull. I got it from scuba.com if anyone is interested. Fun little tool. I assume you sharpen the titanium the same way you would any other knife????

Cool! My friend Aron wants to know if it has a bone saw attachment?
It's only "science" if it supports the narrative.

It's great for amputation. It has a serrated edge for the bone, a straight edge for the soft stuff and a blunt tip for prying the bones/joints apart. And of course it is light weight so as to not fatigue the working arm. Further it is non magnetic so as not to screw up the rescuers GPS units. Tell Aaron HI for me. If he ever needs a canyoneering partner, maybe next time....

I have a similar knife and I love it! I have only used it a couple of times but I just think it is the coolest! I hope you love yours! (I haven't actually had an opportunity yet when I needed it, so the times I have used it I was really reaching)

I have not needed to sharpen my knife yet but the guy at the scuba shop told me that you don't need to sharpen it as much but when you do it just takes longer.

I will probably look in to it more before doing it.
