What is your favorite place to snowshoe?

Looking at basilone's posts has got me more excited for snowshoeing. I thought it would be fun to know where your guys' favorite snowshoeing experiences have been.

My favorite places for snowshoeing are split between Lake Blanche and I also enjoy going up Rock Canyon (Rock Canyon is so close that I love I can just snowshoe so close to my house).

My posts are the extent of my snowshoeing, Desolation lake is my favorite, but it was also the only one I'll been to right after a snow storm.

Diamond Fork (If there is snow there)

It is pretty fun to go at night.

Do you go to the hot pots? If not, where do you go in Diamond Fork?

    Nice pics

When were the pics from the farmington flats taken? Also are there a ton of snowmobiles up there? I am trying to figure out where I am going to go tommorow!!!

    Nice pics

Two wheels are better than four, keep the rubber side down.

There are always a few Snow Mobiles up there but they never seem to bother us. It's a big place.

I assume this is right up Farmington canyon. Do you snowshoe anywhere in particular up there?
I wish my lawn was EMO so it would cut itself.

Yep that's it. I have camped up there right on the trail as well. It is way nice when you wake up and are kinda cold in the morning and just go hop in the springs.

I wish someone would clean all the silt out of the upper one. It is only a few inches deep right now.

The Farmington flats make up a couple square miles above Farmington canyon

Camping at the hot pots is a great idea. Whenever I have camped up there, I have just camped at the base of the trail and then hiked up and back. It does make a lot of sense to camp closer up.
