Hey.... someone told me a bunch of the graffiti in Lep has now been removed. Is it true? Anyone have any details?
Also... I move the topic to Canyoneering because it seemed more appropriate.

How about this for some major Graffitti?
This is taken about the middle of Upper Red Cave.

I am so fed up with graffitti, so mad at the defacement I see in the back country, that should I ever personally witness an act like those pictured above, I honestly fear my reaction.
An old school beat down is in order. At least.
At this point in my life, I no longer feel morally bound to suffer fools gladly.

See Wes Troy in the center? He lives a block from me. I can probably tell you where most of those people live! The mind set of the people around here is sad. Most of you would tear your hair out --- if you talked with them.

And next on our tour is the Ghost town, formerly known as Virgin, Utah. Another fine piece of handy-work of Mr. Burrows.

Alright.... I got the official word from the National Parks Service. When it comes to graffiti anything 50 years old, or older is considered historical and it to be protected and preserved. Anything 49 years old or newer is considered graffiti and is to be treated as such.
I thought you all might find that tid-bit of information interesting.

Yeah.... I believe I have a few that are about to become historical that were placed before I was enlightened.
I was telling some youngsters about Leave No Trace recently and I mentioned back when I was young that meant you tossed your litter behind a bush where no one could see it.
I was about 8 or 10 when the US started the big don't litter campaigns. Many of you oldsters probably remember the Indian crying commercial that was a big hit.
