My league settings
All of the below can be modified. The commisioner can set how many points or - points for each category below. This is how I have my companies league set up and nobody complains as long as you do a live draft. I've found that the setttings below allow a ton more options. Like each team will have a good QB, RB, WR, and KR. My thoughts.
Passing Yards (10 yards per point; 5 points at 300 yards)
Passing Touchdowns (6)
Interceptions (-2)
Sacks (0)
Rushing Yards (10 yards per point)
Rushing Touchdowns (6)
Reception Yards (20 yards per point)
Reception Touchdowns (6)
Return Yards (10 yards per point)
Return Touchdowns (6)
2-Point Conversions (2)
Fumbles Lost (-2)
Offensive Fumble Return TD (6)
Field Goals 0-19 Yards (3)
Field Goals 20-29 Yards (3)
Field Goals 30-39 Yards (3)
Field Goals 40-49 Yards (4)
Field Goals 50+ Yards (5)
Point After Attempt Made (1)
Sack (1)
Interception (2)
Fumble Recovery (2)
Touchdown (6)
Safety (2)
Block Kick (2)
Return Yards (10 yards per point)
Kickoff and Punt Return Touchdowns (6)
Points Allowed 0 points (10)
Points Allowed 1-6 points (7)
Points Allowed 7-13 points (4)
Points Allowed 14-20 points (1)
Points Allowed 21-27 points (0)
Points Allowed 28-34 points (-1)
Points Allowed 35+ points (-4)

I really like these settings!! I would just change the reception settings to 1 point per 10 yards (instead of 20).
It's only "science" if it supports the narrative.

I like the above with the following changes....
I would set Passing at 1 point per 20 or 25 yards
Receptions 1 point per 10 yards.
Sacks -1 point.

I think we may have found the optimal settings for next year...It's only "science" if it supports the narrative.

I noticed that there are "Sacks" and "Sack" in the scoring system above. We would want it set so the Defence gets 1 point for a sack and the QB loses 1 point for a sack.

Would that really be fair for the QB though? A QB typically gets sacked not because he can't scramble out of the way, but because his O-line sucks. It's more somebody else's fault. It's only "science" if it supports the narrative.

Yeah.... I say its fair. The QB gets credit when he tosses a TD, but we all know the O-Line is particially responsible for that also.
I like lots of different ways to score or lose points. I've noticed the more chances my FF has of scoring the more I like watching the game.

Damn you SHANE!!! If you would have played Brees, you would've beat Beaners!!!!
Hasselbeck?!?! COME ON!!! Brees is back baby!! Get him on your active roster!!
Brees goes 445 yards, and 3 TDs on the Jags. Holy Sheeat! Unbeleivable!!!It's only "science" if it supports the narrative.
