Oh crap! Does anyone recognize this?

We were down to Moab atving when we came across this disabled cherokee. Does anyone on this site want to claim it as theirs? I would really like to hear the story.

That is awesome that you found it abandoned.

it's really not as bad as it looks,

new pin in the knuckle, new axle shaft and u-joint, and you're on your way.

the real irritating thing about that photo is that they didn't carry spares to fix it on the trail... ROOKIES!!! Hells is such an easy trail too, they must suck at driving...

When I was 21 and just got back from serving an LDS mission, I bought an 89 s-10 blazer for 1000 dollars. Because I paid so little, I didn't mind thrashing that car and I loved it. I used to take it up Squaw Peak all the time and get stuck, and I thrashed it. I knocked off the mirrors, put dents all over it, broke the passenger door handle and then I was still able to sell it for more than I paid for it.

I sold that Blazer to go up to Alaska for the summer, and when I came home I had enough money to buy a Wrangler. For a long time I didn't want to take my Jeep off-roading because I didn't want to cause the damage to my Jeep that I caused that Blazer. Anyway, I have never enjoyed a vehicle like that cheap Blazer.

(For the record I have no regrets about my Jeep either. I once drove my Jeep down to Florida with my Dad and he is not the best driver. He lost control of my Jeep at 70 mph and we rolled down a ravine, landed right side up. Duct taped the top down and drove off and made it to FL without any problems. In my Blazer I would have been dead.
