    North Face of the Eiger ~ speed ski/flying

    anyone who has witnessed the eiger first hand (or at least read about it/seen photos) knows that the Eiger is a mountain with one of the 3 most dramatic and difficult (to climb) cliff faces in europe ... 5900 vertical feet.

    these videos are completely nuts ...

    alright, here's one more for those who can't get enough. this one follows a guy skiing from the top of mt blanc, the tallest peak in the french alps and almost all of europe. mt blanc rises to 15,775 ft (4808m) and drops to the to a chamonix valley (french side) which sits at 3166 ft (1012m). although these guys stop a bit higher than the base, the total relief of the mountain is around 12600 ft ...

    pretty crazy stuff.

    helmet cam was definitely cool.
    gears and suspension are for old men and girls.
