Cool bike, the bike shop up by the U has a single speed surly pugsley in stock.
Quite a few of my winter cycling forum members put sheet metal screws in there tires for winter riding:

I'd sacrifice my first born for a Pugsly. I don't need one, I just want one.

Pugsleys look rediculously heavy to me. Mostly just the wheels. Never actually picked one up though. Guess it'd be fun to tool around on.
gears and suspension are for old men and girls.

I didnt know the Large Marge tires fit anything but a Pugsley. The Pugsley rocks! AND it's not all that heavy really but don't take my word for it...I ride a Rocky Mountain RM9 as my 'beater' bike -50#- so what do I care about weight

been dying to take my RM9 out and bomb the hills under cover of snow but around here you have to wait til its friggin cold to keep the dirt/mud off the wheels....and my tires are 2.7" and very little room SO is best if I ride one of my others setup with the studs....ice riding is fun! Illl have to post some pics when the skating pond ices the rest of the way..what a ball!
