    American Fork 10-1-06

Well I'm finally getting around to posting a few pictures from our ride last weekend. I think the colors were just about at their peak and the leaves were starting to fall quickly! It was beautiful up there though

My favorite loop is to park at Pine Hollow, ride the road up to Timpanoeke trailhead and take the trail from there. We rode down to the Salamander junction and on to Ridge 157, then Deer Creek South Fork back to the Summit, then Salamander Flat and down Pine Hollow to the car. I love that ride!

    nice pics, love the colors.

I'll add this to the TR index sometime today. What name would you like it to be?

Hey, I tried something for you. I saved one of your pictures, and touched it up with Picasa. You'll be able to see the before and after. I did this with my Snowbasin pictures also.

Those colorful Autumn shots never turn out as good as you think they will. It sucks to come home and throw them on the PC and think "I swear it was more colorful than that up there".

IMO...its just looks fake to me. More like a painting than a photograph.

yeah I was thinking the contrast was off a bit on that one, but it seems like it was that vibrant in person! I know what you mean though, I remember just standing there while taking a break with my hands over the bars, marveling at the stark contrast of the bright yellow leaves against the deep blue sky and bright white Aspen bark.

I wish I could bring along a camera with a filter on it to capture some of the true color. But heck, the point-and-shoot fits so nicely in my pocket!

Love that loop as well. Doing it this evening. Have you ever tried climbing up Pine Hollow? Brutal!
    Are we there yet?
