Some of these photos are amazing. I have an old SLR that I think I should dust off so that can try to take some similar shots. Is there any trick to photographing a sunset? Is there a special setting that I should use?

Not stunning like all of these photos, but it is one of the few places to watch the sun set from the EAST coast! Now that is interesting!

I spent many days and nights camping at Carpenteria State Beach as a kid. Nothing like a SoCal sunset over the ocean, is there? I really do miss those sunsets.

Not a great sunset by any means, but one Saturday from Navajo canyon.

We got pounded about 1:00am by a huge thunderstorm, calm the next morning.

Well, many beautiful pictures shown above.
I hope mine still add a little bit extra beauty.
Checking my pictures of Utah I ended up with these 2.

The first one was taken at Canyonlands, Island in the sky , 2010/11/16.
(not that it matters a lot where this one was taken, since it could have been taken on many places.)

The second one I took at Arches, returning from the Broken Arch loop, 2010/11/17.

    Grtz to all!
