rainy weekend = more forum activity

Usually Fridays are dead here, because everybody's making plans for the weekend.

Not today though. It's pouring out there, and that's good for forum activity.

You won't think you're so clever, when you hear thunder underground...

Woke up to a snow line of about 7000' here in Draper. I think it might be a long winter.....

I went up to Alta to see what the snow was like after seeing cars coming down the canyon with 6 or more inches of snow on them...

I hate snow, but after a hot summer, it might be fun to go play in....

I just went down to Vernal and back today and it snowed over the pass above Flaming Gorge Dam...it hailed hard and then just as I approached Vernal it cleared up to beautiful biking weather...too bad it was too muddy to ride

Went up RockCanyon today, We made it just within an hour of the parking lot is starting pounding snow. Had to take cover for about 35min. It droped a 1/2" of Ultra wet slushy snow that made the trail really wet and fun.
Snow looks GREAT on Timp it was red tonight during sunset, but i was far away from my camera.

33 yesterday morning and 30 this morning. Had a nice hike just outside the park on forest service road. Totally blue skies, nary a hint of precipitation.

Would be a cool evening and morning but the canyons would be great

Some snow that we saw through Logan canyon. Powdered sugar as they say. It could be an early winter.
