Help Compressing Video
This is a call to all you computer savvy nerds out there (sombeech, acca, Ice, shaggy) I need to learn how to compress my huge video clips I take with my digital camera. (8 sec = 50Mb)
Can somebody out there write up a tutorial maybe linking some free software?
Thanks
James

Get Quick Time Pro from Apple. The H.264 codec is by far the best I have used. Makes clean smooth and small video.
Its the best $29 you can spend if your into video and post it on the web. Please buy my book - "Paiute ATV Trail Guide" at www.atvutah.com - I need gas money!!!!

I use Windows Media Encoder
You can download it for free from Microsoft.
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/win...r/default.mspx
I don't know how it compares to the other stuff cause its the only one I have used. Its simple to learn and easy to experiment with. Best part is anyone with Windows can view the output files. No need for them to download a bunch of plugins. 94% of the folks who visit my website are running Windows.... so this allows them to click and go, which I think is very important for a website.
