Lower Courthouse Wash
We visited Arches with the fam a week ago, and since the park passes are good for a week, I decided to bust on up for a second go over the weekend and visit some of the lesser traveled areas. Acting on the advice of Shane and some beta in Kelsey's new book, we decided to go down Lower Courthouse Wash. Our destination was the "Forth Fork," where Kelsey claims the best stuff is located. The mouth of the forth fork is kind of concealed by some thick brush and a big dirt hill, but it definitely has some cool stuff in it.
Be sure to wear long pants when you go, or the deer flies will eat you alive. The gnats were out, but weren't too much of a nuisance. Lower Courthouse cuts pretty deep the further down you go, but never slots up.
Here's a few pics...It's only "science" if it supports the narrative.
