Anybody Backpacked the Moab La Sal's?

First off, has anybody on here backpacked in the La Sal's?

I'm looking to do a multi-day backpacking trip, possibly starting at the Geyser Pass Road to hit Mt Peale and Mt Waas, and whatever other peaks get in the way. We'll probably day hike Mt Peale, get back to the road, camp at the truck and then do a two day backpacking trip to Mt Waas from there. That way we won't have to worry about water too much since there will be plenty at the truck.

From what I've read about the trails in the La Sal's, they're faint, hardly marked, and generally impossible to find in the first place. So If anybody's done something like this before and can recommend some trails to take to get from Geyser Pass Rd to Mt Waas I'd love to hear them. Right now, I'm thinking the Trans-La Sal Trail will be the best option, but I'd rather get some recommendations from first hand experience.
    Mike
