    Canyons near Moab?

Hello everyone! Just a couple of questions for you. I am being dropped off in Moab for 5-1/2 days during the last week of May. I will have my mountain bike, hiking, and climbing gear. I have an idea of what mountain bike trails I am going to ride, but need some advice about canyoneering. Can you recommend any good canyons within biking distance of downtown Moab. I would like to ride to the area and possibly do a overnighter. I would like to go to the Robbers Roost area, but it looks a little bit out of range according to the map. Thanks in advance.

Top of my list would be

    Elephant Butte

    Medieval Chamber

Robbers Roost is a really long bike ride from Moab, probably 100 miles. Your best option might be to try and find someone looking for a partner who will pick you up as they pass through. Your best bet would be someone looking for a partner for the Cedar Mesa Canyons (Gravel, Cheese Box, Black Hole) http://climb-utah.com/CM/index.htm

    Good luck

Utah is a very special and unique place. There is no where else like it on earth. Please take care of it and keep the remaining wild areas in pristine condition. The world will be a better place if you do.

It's only "science" if it supports the narrative.
