Little Wild Horse & Ding TR

We had a good time but I didn't get anywhere close to what I wanted to get done. Our group consisted of my wife, little girl, parents, friends of the family, and myself. We set out to do the LWH and Bell canyon loop. I insisted that if we did it we would all get wet but they didn't believe me. Half way up we came to mandatory get wet section, or stemming. Some in the group couldn't stem very long and most of our group didn't want to get wet so we were some of THOSE people who turned around.

Next stop was Ding & Dang. Ding had considerable less water than the last loop and stemming wasn't much of a issue for the whole group. We made it to the top and by the time we did my dogs nails had ground down far enough they were bleeding, stupid dog. She had worn them down in LWH when I did some side canyon climbing and she thought she had to follow me or die. While trying to follow me she couldn't make it up the areas I was climbing and there wasn't anyone in the group that could stop her from following me. So I decided to turn around and head back down ding, the rest of the group decideed to do the same.

I'll get back down there again to finish the D&D loop and also do Crack and Chute. Here's some pics.

Nice report and great pics. The Ding/Dang loop is a personal favorite of mine. When was this trip?

    great photos,

you shoud consider getting a helmet for your little one.
it puts momma at ease!!! and the kids love it.
yeah it probably wont save them from a falling rock, and i've found that kids in carriers tend to get their heads drug a lot of sandstone in slotcanyons and helmets are a great protection for this.

petzl elios has a size 1 that fits kids well
here's my 2 little guys from last weekend
