    Anyone recognize this snake?

Hey does anyone know the details of this photo?
    Can it be confirmed?

This is reported as a 9 foot 1 inch, 97lb Rattlesnake.
This photo was take in Wendover Utah at the old base.

    YIKES!!

Looks pretty legit to me. I'd hate to stumbled over that guy out in the middle of nowhere! He might kill me, measure me, take my picture and post it on the internet!!
It's only "science" if it supports the narrative.

Someone posted this photo a while back. I cant remember where-in the hiking section or somethin'? I would like to know the true story as well. DAMN BIG RATTLER!!!

My snake expert buddy says it is not 97lbs. 27lbs is more likely.

I'm sorry it met its end, wish folks could just take a picture and leave them alone.

One of my favorite sites (UUtah is the best) has a different story behind this snake?

Awhile ago, there was a picture going around in email about a huge house cat. If you look at the picture of the snake, it is the same thing. You figure that the man is holding the snake a good 3' away from himself, which is of course 3' closer to the camera than he is. Making the snake seem unrealistically large. Think of all the fun we can have if we do this ourselves with something like a fish....... You can tell a whopper and even have photos of the prize fish!

Yep, it's one of those "email" snakes, same as those bear photos. There are 10 different stories behind each of them.

It's real, but who knows where it really came from...
