Mill D -> Desolation -> Crest trail.
(edit-I guess this technically goes in snowshoeing so if you want to move it feel free)
We've done this on bike and on foot but never on snowshoes till last weekend.. How fun!
Beautiful day, beautiful company, beautiful snow
Started at Mill D North, headed up to Desolation and had some lunch, then hoofed it up to the top of the ridge where the Crest Trail is, coming in just north of the "spine".
What a great snowshoe! 7.5 miles roundtrip, 3211 ft total gain.
(note to self, don't forget sunscreen next time, duh)

very cool! I guess it's not open for biking yet?
It's nice to see what it looks like in the winter.

This shot is just awesome:
I don't know what it is about breaking a new trail through the snow, but I love doing it, whether it's on foot or in a 4x4. Looks like you guys had a great time.
