YF TR 10/25 w pics
Hit Yellow Fork Tuesday AM. Rode the trail counter-clockwise, which is opposite of what Utahmountainbiking.com has published. I think this is the better way of riding the trail. The single track up is a great climb. Then you hit doubletrack. One tough section of loose doubletrack, where if you loose your line, you're going to be hiking.
After that, its all downhill on very good singletrack.
The trail was largely covered with leaves, making it much more technical and slick, both up and down. Lots of fishtailing around corners, and I left the trail a few times under control. Trail is a little dusty, but with plenty of traction.
Notes:
Start trail as published. At the first left turn, turn right. Follow the single track, staying left as much as you can. The best riding is in the trees, as there are two sets alot of the time. Eventually you have to cross the road twice to follow the single track. When you get to the park (several picnic tables and horse tieups), cross the creek, and look for the trail that goes South West out of the park. Climb until you reach a log crossing the trail. Go left onto the doubletrack. When you reach the exposed ridgeline, you need to watch for a singletrack trail that spurs right off the double. Go right, stay on that trail (intersects a 'trail' on the spine). After the trail spits you out on doubletrack a little while later, watch for where the trail goes right, downhill into the trees.
