Hurricane Confusion Made Worse By The Media.

If you don't ever go to the Drudge Report, this should be your first experience. I just read this article in the Los Angeles Times of all places, that talks about the Media blowing the crime and raping and shootings in New Orleans WAAY out of proportion.

    Here is the Link: http://www.latimes.com/news/nationwo...home-headlines

The link takes you right to the LATimes article. If you wanna check out The Drudge Report here is that link:

Yeah, I don't watch anything about Katrina anymore.

One of the funniest things I saw was on the Daily Show (which I hardly watch). They were making fun of all of the hurricane media coverage. This was actually BEFORE it made all of the damage.

One source had somebody in a raincoat, yelling into the microphone like he was almost getting blown away, but 10 feet behind him, a guy in a tanktop and shorts walks past!

This wasn't a setup! This is how the media wants to capture our attention. They'll yell into the microphone, building the suspense.

Yeah, and judging from the response to this post I would have to say that NOBODY cares about the hurricane Katrina victims or the media or the response or anything else having to do with the gulf coast anymore. Thanks guys, much appreciated.

Personally I'm sick of hearing about it all. Katrina news is kind of like that one dude that got chewed up by the shark in the film "The Beach." In an effort to get back to normal life, the "group" decided to send that guy off into the forest to live (or die) alone because they were sick of hearing him scream in pain all day, every day. It's hard to enjoy a normal life when you have tragedy blaring in your ear all day.
It's only "science" if it supports the narrative.

OMG that is hilarious! I can picture it now.

There are a few websites I frequent lately. They are about katrina but the side that most people don't even think about. They are groups who are in currently LA and have been since Katrina hit still rescuing animal companions. Here is one site I visit often, they have been keeping it up to date fairly regularly. Things are grim for the animals. Instead of finding one dead dog and 3 alive dogs in a home, it's now 3 dead on one alive dog. I think what they are doing is great, some may not I realize this, but I do.
